Safe Environment

The VIRTUS “Protecting God’s Children” program is designed to train employee’s as well as volunteers who have contact with children.

In addition to the required training of staff and volunteers, the diocese offers all children involved in religious education the opportunity to participate in personal safety sessions.

We can create a safe environment for our children and families.

Online registration and training is available at www.virtus.org.

• Safe Environment Certification Requirements:
  • In person or online (three hour) safe environment training.
  • Background check
  • 24 online training bulletins
  • Recertification when necessary
